1987, DBD & Associates was founded as a software consulting company
specializing in the development and support of custom software system
for various industries. Our mandate was to continually modify these systems to meet our client’s specialized requirements
and adjust to changing business conditions. It was our responsibility
to ensure that these systems maintained the highest level of stability
and reliability as well as being able to provide fast and accurate
solutions to any difficulties that arose.
For 15 years this firm worked closely with end users
from every department to truly understand their business process and
requirements. This level of personnel experience is invaluable in our
business as it allows us to quickly understand and react to the
changing needs of our clients.
ShopEdge Software Inc.
As
the demands on our customers grew so did their need for a more modern
software system. In 2002, ShopEdge software was formed with the intent
of creating user-oriented business specific software. In conjunction
with selected clients, and based on software developed by
DBD & Associates, we set out to create a software package designed exclusively for the metal stamping industry, using cutting-edge software tools such as Microsoft .NET and SQL Server technologies. Modern software tools allowed us to bring high quality products to market quicker, translating into a lower cost of ownership for our customers.
The
ShopEdge ERP system was developed to meet two main
objectives. First, to create a system that would fully-integrate the business processes of a metal stamping operation.
Second, to design a system that would not just track and record
information, but to provide tools to assist a company in becoming more productive
and profitable.
With the release of ShopEdge ERP we feel we have done exactly that. Our software is used every day by metal stamping companies across North America, and addresses the unique needs of a metal stamping company. With features like heat tracking, barcoding, wireless inventory control, integrated outside processors and container tracking, ShopEdge ERP is a perfect fit for any size stamping company.
