Metal Stampers deal with three main types of inventory: Raw Material (R/M), Work in Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods (F/G). Shop Edge ERP software tracks in real-time each of your inventory levels so you always know where you stand. We also take it one step further, and completely track material movement to and from a processor with the appropriate paperwork. Furthermore, our system tracks all shared inventory for improved inventory accuracy and clear visibility into locations and status levels.

Bar code labeling is an integral part of the Shop Edge system for simplifying inventory control.  Bar coding reduces errors and simplifies data entry tasks. Bar codes are used for inventory control to control raw material and finished good inventory using a series of wireless devices including handheld scanners and forklift-mounted terminals.  Devices communicate in real-time with the system to track the movement of materials. Scanners automate shipping and receiving processes. Purchase orders and lot numbers are tracked to ensure that only on-order materials that meet tolerances are received into your building. Scanners are also used to reduce and simplify physical inventory tasks.
