Maintaining and fixing plant equipment, tooling and dies is a problem for Metal Stampers. Tooling and plant equipment maintenance must be scheduled around production, where as dies might require either emergency or preventative maintenance. In all cases, tooling must be in good operating condition so quality parts are produced for your customers on time.
This module allows tracking of both in-house costs (labor & material) and purchased outside services for a variety of user-defined maintenance reasons. Planned maintenance is scheduled using one-time or frequency based options. Our tooling request system allows work center employees to notify tool room and maintenance staff of any immediate or potential problems. Through the tracking of problems, system reports can identify recurring problems easily. A direct link to the production system provides an enhanced communication mechanism between the Tool Room (die availability) and production scheduling providing a two-way flow of information. Maintenance decisions can be made while considering production requirements and the production scheduling decisions will be based on the availability of plant equipment, tooling, and dies.
